Medical mission in Silay starts today

A medical mission aiming to reach out to 7,000 patients/ beneficiaries will be held at the Silay City Civic Center beginning today, February 8-10.
The mission, which will provide minor surgery, dental services, medical consultation, and free eyeglasses is organized and sponsored by The City Government of Silay headed by Mayor Mark Golez, Kansilay Lions Club, Asenso Silay Foundation, Office of Governor Alfredo Marañon, Jr., Congressman Alfredo Abelardo Benitez, and Mrs. Dominique Lopez-Benitez.
According to Mary Ann Duran-Dino, executive assistant of Mayor Mark Golez, more than 60 volunteers, 40 of whom are from the United States, have arrived for the medical mission that will start today.
The foreign doctors and other volunteers are from the United American Pilipino Group based in Washington D.C., Virginia, and Maryland, whom Mayor Golez have visited last year.*(Marie June Pavillar-Castro, 0908-335-6651)
