BACOLOD City – The Department of Public Works and Highways has approved P63.5 million worth of infrastructure projects in the municipality of EB Magalona, Negros Occidental.
Mayor Marvin Malacon said the projects were realized with help from 3rd district Rep. Alfredo Benitez.

BACOLOD City – The National Housing Authority (NHA) is set to turn over 5,481 units of “Yolanda” permanent housing to qualified beneficiaries in three local government units (LGUs) in the Third District of Negros Occidental.
Marie June Castro, coordinator on district housing concerns under the Office of Rep. Alfredo Benitez, said on Tuesday the turnover could be held in August after the contractors and the LGU-beneficiaries have complied with all the requirements.

MANAPLA, Negros Occ. – Unification talks between the United Negros Alliance of Negros Occidental Governor Alfredo Marañon and Love Negros Team headed by 3rd District Rep. Alfredo Benitez are underway.
Benitez, who is among the guests in the 46th Annual General Membership Assembly of the Northern Negros Electric Cooperative on May 27, 2018, told reporters in an ambush interview here that unification “is something that is being discussed by their group”.

BACOLOD City – A former provincial board member has started a signature campaign urging Rep. Albee Benitez (3rd District, Negros Occ.) to run for governor in the 2019 elections.
Former board member Patrick Lacson, a son of former Negros Occidental governor Daniel “Bitay” Lacson, said in his Facebook account that he believes that the provincial government under the administration of Benitez “will cut short economic development from decades to just years.”

BACOLOD City – Rep. Alfredo “Albee” Benitez (3rd district, Negros Occ.) said the Iloilo-Guimaras-Negros bridge is feasible amid observations that it is a pie in the sky.
“Then the pie in sky will come down” Benitez said when asked for his reaction.

BACOLOD City – Midterm election is two years away but five mayors in the 3rd district of Negros Occidental believe that the early bird catches the worm.
This, as Mayors Frederick Palanca of Victorias City, Marvin Malacon of EB Magalona, Mark Golez of Silay City, Mayor Neil Lizares of Talisay City and Andrew Montelibano of Murcia all endorsed 3rd district Rep. Alfredo “Albee” Benitez to replace Gov. Alfredo Marañon Jr.
The mayors expressed their support during the signing of a memorandum of agreement on the Asenso Metro 3rd Burial Assistance Program at the Nature’s Resort and Restaurant, July 3, 2017.
