Bogart, the tiger, dies

Bogart, the pet tiger of Negros Occidental Third District Representative Alfredo Benitez, died on March 3 at his Toreno Fish Farm in Victorias City.
Bogart, 12, was with the solon when he was still little.
Benitez dearly loves Bogart as he used to visit him everytime he goes home to the fish farm and unwind.
He was brought to the College of Agriculture at the University of Negros Occidental-Recoletos in Bacolod City. It underwent a taxidermy, a process of preserving an animal's body through stuffing or mounting for the purpose of display or study.
His skin was removed and will be preserved to use it as a cover for his fiberglass made a form to return him to his lifelike state.
The solon plans to build a mausoleum for Bogart.
