THE office of Negros Occidental Third District Alfredo Benitez facilitated on June 23 the holding of an orientation on crop insurance and enrollment with the Philippine Crop Insurance Corp of Certificate of Land Ownership Award (Cloa) holders, CSC holders, small farmers and small landowners in Barangay Canlusong, E.B. Magalona.

Joemel Magno representing the Department of Agrarian Reform and the Third District Congressional Office as Sida Block Farm coordinator led representatives of the Philippine Crop Insurance Corp. to the area with the assistance of barangay officials.

After the orientation, the free crop insurance enrollment was conducted covering sugarcane, coffee, bananas, rice and also livestock. (PR)
