Bamboos For 3rd District Tree Planting & Growing Program

The Office of Third District Congressman Alfredo Benitez continues its district-wide tree planting growing activity in line with the Department of Environment and Natural Resources’ National Greening Program this November with the planting of bamboo seedlings.

Last November 15, 2016 the District Office in cooperation with the Victorias City government led by Mayor Francis Frederick Palanca and volunteers from the public and private sector started planting to reach a total of 2,500 bamboo seedlings along the Malogo River in Barangay 13.
Working together as the lead team are Environment Officer Lara Ann Garcia, CENRO staff Sofronio Lacuesta, Punong Barangay Eric Alcobilla, and Lagrimas Silvestre, head of the Programs & Services Group of the Congressional District Office.*
Cabatangan, Talisay City
Members of the Campuestohan Bantay Bulid and the Farmers Association led by Alex Guzon, together with volunteers for the environment converged at Sitio Campuestohan in the upland barangay of Cabatangan in Talisay City last November 16 and started planting bamboo seedlings targeting a total of 2,000.

Campuestohan Punong Barangay Julio Siason and Talisay Environment Officer Warren Paduano coordinated closely with the Congressional District Office to facilitate the activity that was fully supported by Talisay City government led by Mayor Neil Lizares.*
Alacaygan, E. B. Magalona
Members of the Dalinson Farmers Association, the Dalinson Elementary School faculty led by Principal Joy Ann Balagosa and Alacaygan Punong Barangay Edilberto Nallos and his members worked together last November 17 to start the bamboo seedlings planting and growing in Hacienda Dalinson, Barangay Alacaygan in E. B. Magalona targeting to reach a total of 1,500 bamboo trees.
