The House Committee on Constitutional Amendment will hold a “Public Consultation on Constitutional Reform” at the Bacolod City Government Center lobby on Friday [March 17] from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Mayor Evelio Leonardia said in a press conference today [March 13] that Southern Leyte Lone District Rep. Roger Mercado, chair of the said committee, has requested for his assistance in holding the public consultation.
Cong. Albee led members of his congress and district offices in a two-day strategic planning workshop feb. 17-18 in victorias city. Focus was on identifying priority projects under the i-help thrust of cong. Albee for 2018-2019. Identified were programs and legislative initiatives on infra, health, housing, education, solid waste management and livelihood opportunities (block farming)under the sugarcane industry development act.

The joint community outreach medical mission of the Betty Bantug Benitez Foundation (BBBF), the Leisure and Resorts World Corporation (LRWC), and the District Office of Congressman Alfredo Benitez of the Third District continues this February in the municipality of Murcia. Another volunteer group has joined the program – the St. John’s Institute (SJI) Alumni - Batch 1992.

It was an early Christmas for the 268 pupils of the Estado Elementary School – Mimi Extension, in the remote Hacienda Mimi, Barangay 10 of Victorias City last December 13, 2016.

Cong. Albee Benitez assured members of the North Central Inter-local Health Zone during the December 9, 2016 meeting that he will take up vital concerns on health issues with concerned agencies in the national level to expedite solutions. Present in the meeting were Victorias Mayor Francis Frederick Palanca, chairman of the North Central Inter-local Health Zone group, Silay Mayor Mark Golez, and EBM Mayor Marvin Malacon. Also present were Teresita Jalandoni Memorial Regional Hospital chief Dr. Girlie Pinongan, Talisay Health Officer Dr. Joy Gladys Guanzon, Silay Health Officer Dr. Sabino Damazo, EBM Health Officer Dr, Edmundo Janeo, Jr., Provincial Finance Consultant Roy Balicas, NOCHP Coordinator Mina Pellejo, and EBM Development Officer Erwin Poniado.

For Barangay Katilingban in Talisay City, the District Office of Cong. Albee Benitez together with the Talisay City government and volunteers, the target is the planting of 2,000 seedlings of the iron bamboo variety. The planting was started last November 19 with the assistance of Katilingban Punong Barangay Jude Abellana.*
