Benitez, Marañon to give respective reports today

OUTGOING Governor Alfredo Marañon and outgoing Representative Alfredo Benitez will give their respective reports today, June 27, three days before they graduate from their respective offices.
Marañon who served Negros Occidental for nine years (three terms) will deliver his State of the Province report and turn over the Province to Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson at the Negros Occidental Multi-Purpose Activity Center.
The program will start at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, June 27, with a mass, then the governor's report and turnover ceremony will follow.
Marañon is leaving the province with numerous legacies, among them the Negros First Cyber Centre, the establishment of the Negros Occidental Language and Information Technology Center, the transformation of capitol properties into an investment area, and several others.
Benitez, on the other hand, will deliver his State of the District Report before the people of the Third District at the Victorias City Coliseum.
He will also administer the oath of office of his younger brother, Representative-elect Francisco Benitez.
Incoming Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson will give his congratulatory message to the incoming Third District officials.
Benitez, for his three terms, has also implemented several major projects, among them is the Bacolod-Silay Airport Access Road.
