Talisay City — A P30-million burial aid program has been launched in Negros Occidental’s third district.
Rep. Alfredo Benitez said the program will hasten the burial process for the less privileged in the district that comprises of Silay City, Talisay City, Victorias City, E. B. Magalona town, and Murcia town.
For funding, the congressional office of Benitez will combine its resources with that of local governments.
He said that with the program, bereaved families do not have to waste time in processing the release of the burial aid.
Identified funeral parlors in each locality will be the one to work out with the local governments. Payments will be directly made to the funeral parlors.
Benitez added it will enable low-income families to have loved ones buried with minimum delay.
