I welcome DIGICAST Negros and the men and women who have courageously taken up the challenge to carry on the mission of bringing relevant and invaluable news and information to the public despite the constraints and obstacles that the media industry face in this time of the pandemic.

Public information must never be sacrificed even during crisis. For the free flow of news and information brings enlightenment, hope and inspiration; strengthen people’s resolve to overcome insurmountable situations; but most of all, ensures that freedom of choice and critical decisions for public well-being and governance continue.

The opportunities that abound in social media and the digital world are now limitless. And I congratulate the Digicast team who have resolved to give their best to make this venture work with consciousness for accuracy, truth and integrity , fairness and relevance.
