TOP-RANKED Talisay City beat host Victorias City, 25-11; 27-25 and Murcia did the same in three sets over Victorias distaff side on Saturday, June 24, in the semifinals of Albee Cup volleyball tournament.

E.B. Magalona proved steadier as its men’s squad mauled Murcia, 17-25; 25-19; 25-17 and its women’s side stopped Silay City, 25-11; 25-19 to figure in the championship in both categories.

Tournament commissioner Edgar Espares said winners of the crossover semifinals dispute the title on Sunday in Victorias City.

The event aims to fortify the physical and mental toughness of government employees and building strong relationship among the local government units in the Third District of Negros Occidental. (HGD)
