Preparations underway for socialized housing at VMC Canetown

Work is underway for the development of the ten-hectare property that Canetown Development Corporation, a subsidiary of Victorias Milling Company, has granted to Victorias City to be used for social housing.
Third District Congressman Alfredo Benitez recently met with local representatives of the National Housing Authority led by Engr. Alejandro Ongsuco, Victorias Mayor Francis Frederick Palanca and key stakeholders on the availment of Victorias City of a grant under the NHA Resettlement Assistance Program.
With the assistance of Cong. Benitez office thru its Housing Concerns Coordinator Marie June Castro, Victorias City, Canetown Development Corporation and NHA work hand in hand for the documentary requirements of the NHA Resettlement Assistance Program.
NHA provides local government units with grants up to P 25-M with cities availing of additional P 25-M interest-free loans for development of resettlement sites or to develop new project sites.
Victorias Housing Officer Primilo Solinap together with Castro also updated Cong. Benitez on status of preparations, as well as coordinate with VMC officials led by Atty. Eva Rodriguez to fast-track completion of documents for the NHA requirements.*
