The Talisaynons swept E. B. Magalona in three sets, 25-17, 25-17, 25-14 while Murcia placed third with a 31-29, 25-12 victory over Victorias.
Murcia lady spikers snatched the title via a 27-25, 20-25, 25-21, 20-25, 15-13 hard fought battle going to the distance. Silay City grabbed the third spot with a 25-14, 25-10 domination of Victorias City.
Chosen most valuable players were Remo Banhao of Talisay in the men's category and Ailene Nepomuceno of Murcia in the distaff side.
It was heartbreaking for E. B. Magalona failing to take a title, but it will motivate this town, noted for its athletes in Dragonboat competition, to strive more in next year’s program of Congressman Albee Benitez.
This event fortified the physical and mental toughness of government employees and built strong relationship among the local government units in the Third District of Negros Occidental.
