Block farming talk held

Small sugarcane farmers, who are members of the Sto. Niño-Balili Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries Association in Barangay Sto. Niño, EB Magalona in Negros Occidental, were recently oriented on the block farming concept and the Socialized Credit Program, a press release said.
Block farming and the Socialized Credit Program are salient provisions of the Sugarcane Industry Development Act, or Republic Act 10659.
The orientation was facilitated by the District Office of Rep. Alfredo Benitez (Neg. Occ., 3rd District), in partnership with the Department of Agrarian Reform and the Sugar Regulatory Administration.
