DPWH informs EB Magalona on P63.5-M projects

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) First Engineering District has informed the Municipality of EB Magalona of P63.5 million in infrastucture projects for the town.

Mayor Marvin Malacon said the projects are through the efforts of Rep. Alfredo Benitez (Neg. Occ., 3rd District).

In a letter to Malacon, District Engr. Jaime Javellana of the 1st DE, listed the projects funded under 2018 DPWH Local and Regular Infrastructure Project and Department of Agriculture Farm to Market Road projects and General Appropriations Act RA 10964 that will be implemented in EB Magalona.

Javellana said, P56,395,247 has been earmarked for the construction of water systems in Brgys. 1, 2 and 3 poblacion of EB Magalona, funded under the 2018 DPWH Local and Regular Infrastructure Project.

More than P11 million has also been earmarked for the road concreting project connecting Barangay Nanca to Alacaygan and farm to market road in Brgy. Consing, all in EB Magalona.

Malacon thanked Benitez, who facilitated the projects for the town.

This will help improve the town’s economy and more residents will have acess to water, the Mayor said.*(NDB)
