North Negros Brigada Kicks-off Today

Negros Occ. Third District Rep. Alfredo B. Benitez and Talisay City Mayor Neil Lizares will grace the launching of the Brigada 2017 Eskwela at Inocencio V. Ferrer Memorial School of Fisheries, Talisay City, today, May 15.
Administrative Officer Romeo Sanchez said the school will host the kick-off ceremony in the northern area of the province to be participated in by all the Northern Negros Occidental area school representatives and stakeholders.
The activity carries the theme “lsang DepEd, lsang Pamayanan, lsang Bayanihan para sa Handa at Ligtas na Paaralan”.
Sanchez said that it is a week-long event where the whole community come together to contribute their time, efforts, and resources in ensuring that the school is ready for the opening of classes.
The activity involves minor to medium repairs and maintenance work in the school, Sanchez said.
“It also includes cleaning, repainting and beautification of classrooms, school buildings and surrounding areas and requires a great number of manpower to accomplish these tasks.”
The activity will also be attended by Talisay City Vice Mayor Samuel Siote, DepEd NIR Regional Director Gilbert Sadsad, Assistant Schools Superintendent Gladys Sales, school principal Dency Grace Padilllon and other DepEd Officials.* (JCM/Lljr-PIA6)
