IN SILAY School building inaugurated
on Saturday, August 19, 2017
The two-storey, 10-classroom building for Senior High School students of Barangay E. Lopez National High School in Silay City, Negros Occidental, donated by the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corp., through the efforts of Rep. Alfredo Benitez (Neg. Occ., 3rd District) was inaugurated yesterday, a press release said.

The event was attended by Pagcor AVP Arnel Ignacio of the Community Relations and Services Department, Benitez, Silay City Mayor Mark Golez, and other officials.
The blessing of the building was officiated by Fr. Ermin Bimbao of the Barangay E. Lopez Parish.
Silay City Schools Superintendent Neri Anne Alibuyog led officials of the Department of Education, who witnessed the turnover.
Also present were Silay City Vice Mayor Joedith Gallego, Esther Miranda of the Department of Public Works and Highways Negros 1st Engineering District representing District Engineer Jaime Javellana, and barangay officials, led by kagawad Joseph Emong, representing Barangay Captain Debbie Jinon, the press release added.*
