Metro 3rd Skolars Silay-Talisay Orientation

Recipients of the Third District Education Assistance under the Tulong Dunong Program of the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) were gathered Sunday, July 17 at the Silay City Plaza Covered Court for an orientation and submission of requirements for both old and new beneficiaries for the current first semester of this school year.

The beneficiaries were briefed on features and requirements of the program. An open forum was also conducted to gather feedbacks on problems and concerns.
Talisay City GCoor Bonirose Alunan Dajay reminds beneficiaries of Talisay to value the benefits and opportunities of the educationbal assistance.
A total of 116 college students from Talisay City came for the morning orientation and another 237 college students from Silay City attended the afternoon session.
The beneficiaries or the “Metro 3rd Skolars” are enrolled in public and private colleges and universities in the province.
Programs and Services Group Head Lagrimas Silvestre highlights vital reminders for recipients, both and new, to comply with.
Facilitating the activity is the Programs and Services Group of Congressman Alfredo Benitez’ District Office together with the respective satellite office staff of cities and towns in the District.
Rey Rico of Barangay 5, Silay City, a fourth year Computer Science student at the Silay Institute, registers at the Metro 3rd Skolars social media network, a feature of the Program to enhance communication and fast track information dissemination within the Metro 3rd Skolars circle. Assisting him is Jein Pabalinas of Team Benitez Communication.
The orientation for EB Magalona Metro 3rd Skolars is in the morning of July 22 at the Wilkinson Gym and in the afternoon of the same day, the briefing for the Victorias recipients is at the Brgy. 13 Covered Court.
The schedule for the Murcia beneficiaries is on July 29 in the morning at the Murcia gym.*
