Bamboos For 3rd District Tree Planting & Growing Program

The Office of Third District Congressman Alfredo Benitez continues its district-wide tree planting growing activity in line with the Department of Environment and Natural Resources’ National Greening Program this November with the planting of bamboo seedlings.

Last November 15, 2016 the District Office in cooperation with the Victorias City government led by Mayor Francis Frederick Palanca and volunteers from the public and private sector started planting to reach a total of 2,500 bamboo seedlings along the Malogo River in Barangay 13.

The District Office of Cong. Albee Benitez through its Programs and Services Group mobilized selected youths from EB Magalona - Barangay Tanza and Talisay City - Barangay Zone 10 to join candle-making skills training workshops providing them opportunities for income-generating activities.
Victorias Medical Mission
A total of 267 beneficiaries from the various barangays of Victorias City were served by the free medical and dental mission organized by the Victorias Kaayong Lawas Foundation, Inc. (VKLFI), Leisure and Resorts World Corporation (LRWC), Betty Bantug Benitez Foundation, Inc. (BBBFI) and the Office of Third District Congressman Alfredo Benitez last October 22, 2016 at the grounds of the Immaculate Conception Health Center in Victorias City.

Cong. Albee Joins Public Consultation on Malogo River Irrigation Project
Recognizing the vital role of irrigation in agricultural development, Cong. Albee Benitez joined the Public Scoping Session for the Malogo River Irrigation Project conducted by the National Irrigation Administration together with the Schema Konsult, Inc. last October 21, 2016 at the Natalio Velez Sports & Cultural Center in Silay City.

The Malogo Irrigation Project involving a 2.0 meters diversion dam to be built in Barangay Kapitan Ramon in Silay City is projected to benefit 8,625 hectares of irrigable area covering five barangays in Silay (Hawaiian, E. Lopez, Guinhalaran, Lantad, Bagtic) and six barangays in E.B. Magalona (Alicante, Cudangdang, Mantaangan, Pasil, Sto. Niño, Tanza).
Senator Bam, Cong. Albee visit Alegria, Murcia

This was the case when Senator Paolo Benigno “Bam” Aquino and Congressman Alfredo “Albee” Benitez visited Barangay Alegria in Murcia today (October 20) for a dialogue at the Alegria Elementary School to get a first hand brief of the state of the public elementary and high schools in the area.

Silay Barangay 4 Multi-Purpose Building
Silay Mayor Mark Golez, Vice-Mayor Joedith Gallego, Councilor Aileen Javier and Punong Barangay Eugenio Celis, Jr. led the blessing and inaugural rites of the Barangay 4 multi-purpose building and barangay hall last October 19, 2016.
Drug Rehab Programs On At Metro 3rd
Victorias City recently launched its PAG-AMLIG, a 3-month voluntary community-based outpatient program for drug dependents willing to undergo rehabilitation.
Victorias Mayor Francis Frederick Palanca spearheads the program with the support of Cong. Alfredo Benitez and the assistance of the Victorias PNP. Three clusters of barangays simultaneously kicked off rehab activities last October 18, 2016.
