Credit program orientation held for Alacaygan farmers

SMALL sugarcane farmers who are Certificate of Land Ownership Award (Cloa) holders and small landowners in Barangay Alacaygan in E.B. Magalona recently were given orientation on Sugarcane Industry Development Act (Sida) Block Farming Socialized Credit Program.

The orientation was facilitated by the District Office of Third District Representative Alfredo Benitez under its Sida Block Farm unit and conducted by Joemel Magno representing the Department of Agrarian Reform.

Providing assistance to the orientation was Alacaygan Punong Barangay Larry Sumpay who was also present together with Kagawads Euly Osorio, John Solinap, Lolita Esclabanan and representatives from the Simag Foundation.

Also facilitated during the orientation was the application for Sida-funded scholarship for dependents of the agrarian reform beneficiaries. (PR)
