TESDA STEP for Talisay
The Office of Third District Cong. Alfredo Benitez partnering with the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) brings the Special Training for Employment Program (STEP) to Talisay City to assist the women of Barangys 12 and 12A and the inmates of the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology.
1st Batch
Twenty (20) housewives of Barangays 12 and 12A recently completed the 12-day Cake-making Training earning the Certificate of Competency. The Pearl Manor Skills Training Institute was tapped by TESDA as the training service provider.
2nd Batch
BJMP Warden Romeo Jamandre Eyoy thanked TESDA and Cong. Benitez for the 18-day Hilot Wellness training that gave the 17 participants their national certificates.
The TESDA STEP also include a seminar on entrepreneurship so that beneficiaries are guided on how to start and sustain a livelihood activity.*
