AS CONFIRMED cases of coronavirus disease continue to gain ground each day, the province of Negros Occidental and its capital City of Bacolod will do catching up by subjecting around 10,000 individuals to undergo a swab mass testing from August 28 to 31, 2020.
The proponent of this mass testing was Provincial Consultant on Economic Affairs former 3rd District Representative Alfredo Abelardo "Albee" Benitez.

BACOLOD CITY, Philippines — Negros Occidental will be placed on lockdown from Aug. 28 to 31 to allow testing of at least 10,000 people with symptoms of the coronavirus disease 2019 or COVID-19.
Gov. Eugenio Jose Lacson, Bacolod City Mayor Evelio Leonardia and former congressman Alfredo Benitez, provincial government investment consultant, announced what they described as “timeout weekend” in a press briefing yesterday.
Benitez said mass testing would be conducted in this city, Bago, Talisay and Silay cities and Murcia town.

BACOLOD CITY — A four-day “time-out weekend” will be held in Negros Occidental and Bacolod City in a bid to test and isolate individuals who contracted the coronavirus.
From August 28 to 31, former Rep. Alfredo “Albee” Benitez said 10,000 polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) test, which detects the SARS-COV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19 in the body, will be conducted for free.

The provincial government of Negros Occidental plans to implement a “timeout weekend” from August 28 to 31 to conduct mass testing of 10,000 symptomatic patients.
In a joint press conference of Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson and Bacolod City Mayor Evelio Leonardia on Saturday, August 22, Capitol consultant and former Negros Occidental representative Alfredo Benitez said that during the timeout weekend, “there will be no movement at all. There will be a lockdown for 4 days, while we test everybody."

A four-day “timeout weekend”, from August 28 to 31, will see the lockdown of four cities and one town in Negros Occidental for mass COVID-19 testing to curb the rising transmission of the deadly virus, provincial economic adviser, former Rep. Alfredo “Albee” Benitez, announced Saturday.
