Former Rep. Alfredo Abelardo Benitez, provincial consultant on economic affairs, vowed yesterday to take Negros Occidental to the doorsteps of investors to draw high impact investments that will really be felt by Negrenses.
Benitez said his goal is to draw “champions” of respective businesses to Negros Occidental to make it a premier province and a force to reckon with.

NEGROS Occidental will launch a proactive campaign like road shows to bring in investments to the province, former Representative Alfredo Benitez and now provincial consultant for economic affairs, said Tuesday, July 30.
Benitez made a presentation of the investment status and plans before members of the Sanggunian Panlalawigan during its regular session yesterday, July 30.

Bacolod-based developer Aton Land and Leisure Inc. will open "Magikland", the first outdoor theme park in the Visayas, in Barangay Guinhalaran in Silay City this coming October.
Company president Reynaldo Bantug said they are investing at least P800 million to develop a world-class, one-stop entertainment destination in Negros Occidental.
“It is not finished yet, but it is taking shape. We hope to open by the time MassKara (Festival) happens in October. So in October 2019, everything will be finished and we can showcase a project that is uniquely Negrense,” Bantug said in a press conference held at the project site on Saturday afternoon.

Former Negros Occidental third district Rep. Alfredo Benitez believes former ABS-CBN Bacolod news anchor Ryan Gamboa, who currently serves as a Silay City councilor, would make a “capable” provincial board member.
The city councilor is a presumptive candidate for Negros Occidental Philippine Councilors’ League president and faces Sagay City Councilor Arturo Marañon of the United Negros Alliance for the post.

Negros Occidental consultant for investment and economic enterprise Alfredo Benitez said he will be presenting an economic perspective of the province before the Provincial Board. The former congressman said the presentation will “jumpstart” his work as a consultant to Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson.
“I will make a presentation before the board on what we intend to do about economic affairs, development priority, and what has happened [over] the past years,” he explained.

Magikland, a P800-million theme park described as the first of its kind in the Visayas, will open in Barangay Guinhalaran, Silay City, Negros Occidental, in October.
Aton Land and Leisure Inc. president Reynaldo Bantug said yesterday they aim to open the park, which is 90 percent finished structurewise, in time for the MassKara Festival.
We are fine-tuning the entertainmentand customer services so when we open, visitors will get the service and experience they deserve, he said.

Negros Occidental provincial consultant for economic affairs Alfredo Benitez said he is pushing for the floating of One Visayas Bonds to be backed by local governments.
Benitez, former representative of the third district of Negros Occidental, said he aims to initially raise P10 billion, pointing out that some local governments in the Visayas are interested to join.
